nadia_1978 @suzystardust hi, thank for your interest. It depends on what you feel comfortable in. Most Diwali parties women tend to wear sarees. Younger girls like to wear Lehengas and anarkali. Lehenga is a long skirt worn with a short top. Anarkali is a long gown.

nadia_1978 I would suggest for you to get the heavily embroidered tops like the red one you chose. I have off white and white pants that you can wear it with. Pair it with some nice traditional jewelry.
