Koala Bear Figurine Handwork Kunstlerschultz West Germany Wagner Animal flocked

This is a sweet and very small Koala Bear figurine. Stands approximately 2 3/4” tall. The sticker on the underside of this little bear reads, “Handwork Kunstlerschultz West Germany.” Often called Wagner animals, these collectibles are no longer in production and therefore only available on the secondary market. This little cutie is “flocked” which describes the a fuzzy texture and appearance of such decor. Has been gently displayed only and not played with, so the flocking and the features are in excellent shape. The brand-name sticker on the bottom is intact and in excellent shape as well. I have done a small amount of research on one website; it indicates that the style of the sticker determines the age range of the Kunstlerschultz figurines. Based on that, I estimate that this koala was made in the range of 1966-1983, therefore 40+ years old.
