Hi, I’m an avid Fur collector. Currently I have 7. All are in mint condition. Couple factors when purchasing. The seams could be loose, the fur pellet could be dry, causing cracks, and the cost they are asking for is astronomical.
Your best bet. Goodwill, thrift stores, community center sales, antique stores. You’ll find them for $50-250 depending on quality and you can ask to bring them down as well.
Every fur has a story. Where’d they go? Who wore them?

I got a beautiful floor length mink that separates to knee length coat for less than $800.00 a few years ago … excellent shape . This is too much for older coat….

lovely coat..... for myself, so important for right size in a fur are measurements pit to pit from inside. a peek at the hides would be great, tho the lining may prevent this. very interested so thanks in advance for information.
