"Key West Hand Print Fabrics was founded in 1961. They had a small factory in the keys that produced hand-screened fabric and resortwear. The head designer for almost 25 years at Key West Fashion was Suzie Zuzek. According to her daughter, Suzie designed most of the Lilly Pulitzer fabrics Key West produced. She drew the designs, and one of the owners, Peter Pell, did the colorations. Suzie signed her work Zuzek, as that is her maiden name.
