If you see A Kevin’s Afterglow Bench, if you didn’t know - it is there because Kevin had mental health issues that no one knew about because not all wounds are visible. He is no longer with us. In order to promote unity, diversity, empathy, compassion and eliminate bullying, isolation (being outcasted, rejected and ignored), misunderstandings and the need to wear a mask and pretend to be perfect and to rid this pain for others in our community and prevent future tragedies — if you feel lonely, like you need a friend, go find a Blue Bench and someone nice is supposed to sit next to you. That is the idea…. That’s the meaning of it. Most people don’t know that at all, they just think it’s a regular bench. If you look closely nearly everything and everyone has a story. Look around you.
