The Kelty Chinook 20F Sleeping Bag is one of the best kick-around sleeping bags you'll find. It has a broad comfort range so you'll be able to use it from spring to fall and even in the winter in mild conditions. It uses Quallofil insulation which maintains its insulating properties even when it's wet making it great for canoe camping too. While it's not the lightest bag on the market it offers a broad range of use and a low enough price that you won't have to worry about ruining your super expensive down bag.
