This elegant 1960s set is perfect for the season, with its array of Autumn hues ranging from amber-color to smoky topaz-color rhinestones, plus a touch of aurora borealis. Rhinestones are prong-set. Necklace adjusts from 11” to 16” with a hook closure. 14mm wide at the center. Clip on earrings measure approx.. 1-1/2” L x ¾”W. Gold-tone finish Designer signed/Hallmarked KARU ARKE, INC. Excellent vintage condition with minor foil-wear behind a few of the stones and one tiny piece of exposed solder by a prong. Will arrive in a gift box. About Karu Arke New York-based Karu Jewelry (1940) was the successful collaboration of Paul Kaufman and Jack Ruderman. Karu creations were popular and of high quality. The famous jewelry company Coro filed a complaint against Karu due to the similarity of their names. The claim was dismissed. Karu was the fusion of the names Kaufman and Ruderman, however the collaborators soon changed the company’s name to Karu Arke, Inc. The company ceased operations sometime in the 1970s, making all Karu pieces collectible and vintage.
