Formed in Madagascar and South Africa, Kambaba Jasper is a sedimentary stone consisting of microcrystalline Quartz and a primordial form of blue-green algae - you may be familiar with these ancient fossils as they comprise the stone Stromatolite. Stromatolites are the oldest known fossils, and one of the earliest records of life on Earth. They date as far back as 3.8 Billion years ago. The Earth is thought to be 4.5 Billion years old, so the existence of life during this turbulent astronomical period is quite remarkable. ✨I also have Kambaba Palm Stones in my closet!
