mollyvarbor I understand it’s vintage. Is there any sign of use, discoloration?

californiahome @mollyvarbor Hi Molly, I believe it had been us d and there may be some tea staining in the spout that may or may not come out with a vinegar bath. To be certain, I will need to pull it out of storage. I can do that in a couple of days, if you are interested. Just let me know. 😊

mollyvarbor Also are you certain this is an authentic KPM?

californiahome @mollyvarbor I understand. I will pull it as soon as I can and get back to you. I also noticed that I had circa 1830s but I believe that was a typo when I listed it so I changed it to 1930s to reflect what I believe is the truer dating. I will try to get a clearer pic of the spout and any staining by that I find.

californiahome @mollyvarbor Yes. I believe it is authentic as I have several other pieces that bare the same mark. You can see them listed in my closet. These were inherited so I did my best to research the pieces. There are very few still around that are this plain white style.

californiahome Hi Molly, So I stopped at storage and pulled the teapot for further inspection and I am happy to report that it is pretty pristine. There is one teeny tiny speck under the glaze that happened during the making of the piece. Otherwise, perfect, in my opinion. Especially for a piece that is probably about 100 years old!
