KOSTA BODA 48012 ‘Network’ Miniature Bottle / BERTIL VALLIEN Designer / SIGNED!!

Bertil Vallien was born in Sweden in 1938 and is one of the world's leading glass sculptors. His art is drawn upon the enormous treasure of myths and legends through the ages. Bertil’s glass art is represented in eminent art museums, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Vallien designed this bottle in 1978 and called it ‘Network’. The frosted bottle was hand blown then covered most of the way up with a layer of white glass which was then textured using a ‘network’ of wire netting which was then removed. The original Kosta Boda label is still present though a little faded. The bottom is signed ‘Kosta Boda, Artist Coll., B. Vallien, 48012’. The bottle measures 3.75 inches tall by 1.25 inches thick and is in excellent condition (see photos).
