@dolcebella2979 Hi! 😄 Thank you so much!! $130 is sort of a starting place. I haven't solidified my pricing yet, so you could call that an "introductory price." The canvas in the picture was a 12"x12," so that would be the starting size.

The price would go up a bit as you increase the canvas size. 😉 I actually just finished my last commission so I'd be happy to take a look at your pet's photo that you'd like painted and give you my suggestion on best canvas size based on the scale of the photo. @bdear Thank you for your response! Sorry I just saw your message now. I had to put my Rocky down after 15.5 years last July I was devastated.so I def want a pic of him to remember him by. I also had a new furbaby she's a riot and so full of spunk, complete opposite of my late Rocky. I def want both of them captured on canvas. I will keep you in mind! Sales on posh have been really slow last few weeks,hoping it'll turn arnd agn

@veravintage Thank you! 😊 I wish I could paint humans. I haven’t attempted it in a long time. They are so much more structured and skin tones are hard to master. Sometime in the future I hope to work my way in that direction though. 🙏 At the moment, I am starting some original artwork aside from pet portraiture. One piece is leaving for Thailand on Monday, which is so exciting! 😄

Getting back into painting again myself, after a 20+ year "hiatus." I never took classes, so my return is a bit intimidating; I'm so nervous. It's so petty and goofy, I should just dig in...but I'm a "type A," sooooo...🤦🏽♀️. Too bad you aren't closer, it be cool to study under you. 😁
I'll definitely keep you in mind for pooch portraiture.

@myzturee You are just a sweetheart! 💕 Thank you for your kind words. I’ve been painting professionally for two years and dabbling in art since I was a child. Like you, I am self-taught apart from your regular art classes in school. I took one drawing class in college.
That’s so exciting that you are wanting to get back into your art! 😃 I would highly recommend that you just go for it! I didn’t realize my skills until I decided to paint a friend’s dog for fun.

@myzturee If I only do it for fun and therapy, that would be enough but I now also do commissions. I always said as a child that I wanted to be an artist. Now I am. Of course, w/o my husband working, I would be starving, so it’s not that lucrative.... yet. 😉

@myzturee We’re all our own worst critic, so try to paint without judging yourself or your work. That would be my tip. There’s no substitute for practice. I also like to follow artists on Instagram and ask questions and/or study their technique. I pray you find a ton of joy in your art! It is a precious gift. 😍

@luvmyqh6 I don’t normally recommend painting multiple animals in the same portrait unless the photograph I’m working from is of them together already. Also, I am only doing head portraits now (no body), so that kind of requires separate pieces. It really depends on the photo.
We can definitely talk about lowering pricing if you would like to order multiple. 🌷🤗

The Dalmatian - Pecas is my Son and daughterinlaw’s. They are out of the country but I can look for a good one for you. I will research they will love them!💁♀️🙋♀️❤️🐴

Love your work!!! I’m an artist too and did my first commission for a pair of Argentina Dogos. They were extremely challenging, but probably my best work to date. I wish I could post them here to share because the realistic style is very similar to yours. Recently one of the dogs passed away and the owner was so grateful to have the portrait which made my work even more rewarding. Keep up the beautiful work❤️!

@janwah You sound like me. 😉 I have put my art on hold as well, due to health problems. You’re not alone in the “too much stuff” department. I think it’s especially hard as a creative person not to collect junk because we see the potential in things to become awesome works of art but we are not so good at being practical about logistics to create those works 😉. I have been trying for years to organize my studio… it’s still a wasteland of unfinished projects lol
