starrynight24 @adali05 next to the "buy" button on each listing there is one that says "add to bundle". If you do it that way, Posh collects everything you bundle into one checkout screen and applies the seller's bundle discount. Option 2 is just to let me know exactly what all you want and I'll create a new listing that is your item minus 20% and minus another $5 to cover shipping.

We've all done it though - might as well turn objects in the closet into money if they aren't useful anymore. Thank goodness for Posh, huh? You get to make some space and money, buy something that makes you feel happy, and meet cool ladies all over the country. :)

ginger_madem I know this may seem odd but I collect vintage Dooney’s and I was pursuing the recent sales and stumbled upon the bag that you recently bought for $98. And if it hadn’t been so expensive I would have just kept quiet, but I feel like you need to know that is isn’t authentic. It has many tell-tell signs of a fake. 👇🏻

ginger_madem If you don’t mind, then just disregard my message - but if you were hoping for authentic, you might want to have it looked at before you release funds. Just trying to look out for fellow poshers - $98 is a lot of money. Good luck! I’m not on Facebook but lots of other vintage Dooney collectors use a page called “Authenticate My Dooney”.

starrynight24 @ginger_madem thank you, it’s really kind of you to be looking out! I’m no Dooney expert at all, I’ve never paid attention to the brand at all. I just liked the style and colors, and I associate the name with quality so didn’t blink at the price. She has a 20% bundle discount so I put a cheap tee shirt in that order too which did bring it down a chunk. If you don’t mind, what from the photos tips you off?

ginger_madem @starrynight24 it is a knock off of a vintage Dooney equestrian bag. It should actually close with the front flap piece and the loop should be solid brass not “leather”. The “leather” is too shiny for Dooney quality. The spacing of the font around the duck seal is off - it should be evenly spaced on each side and the left side gap is larger than the right side (where the registered mark ends).

ginger_madem All the brass should be stamped with “solid brass” and the stitching of the binding should be even and quality. It shouldn’t have a magnetic closer. And last but most importantly, it should have a white/red/blue sewn in tag that says Dooney and Bourke and has Made in USA, with a registration number on the back of the tag.

starrynight24 @ginger_madem ok. Thanks for your time and all the info! The bag should be delivered tomorrow. I’ll be giving a lot of thought about what to do. :( I feel pretty sure the seller isn’t aware. Maybe I’m just naive but she seemed just super nice. Last year I bought a Kate Spade ring here on Posh. Cute but after some months I’d never worn it so I relisted it and my buyer promptly opened a case for inauthenticity. I felt so bad, I didn’t know. Bummer all around.

ginger_madem @starrynight24 I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news 😔 Sites like vintagedooney.com and horsekeeping.com are my go to sites for authentic purses and information. Hope you get it sorted out. There are lots of good ladies on here than will offer insight if you are questioning a bag’s authenticity- the quality of Dooney will stand the test of time and remain beautiful with age - bootleg purses don’t.

starrynight24 @ginger_madem I’m feeling a little like this is what I get for trying to be a deal hunter. I ordered one on Zappos and loved it but of course the price was quite up there, and for the money I thought I’d rather have a different crossbody style without handles that stuck up. So I returned it, and started browsing posh. I don’t thrift, I just sell my own stuff and I know exactly where I got everything and how it’s been treated. I keep making the stupid assumption that every closet is like mine. 🙄
