Jovani mermaid dress transformed into a luxurious maternity gown!! This dress boasts a semi-sheer reinforced corset top with sewn in push up cups. The sweetheart neck is very flattering as is the fitted silhouette with full rag tier skirt. Floral appliqués with a hint of shimmer complete this fabulous dress. I was 7 months pregnant about 160 lbs. It began at a size 16 and has 300+ of alterations. I had a lace up back added to the dress to accommodate my growing baby belly.

nmaroun12 @lina86 I know the feeling lol!! I was 6 months pregnant with my fourth child when I wore this as a maid of honor dress. I added the corset back to provide some adjustability. There is also the option to have the gown let back out a bit. I would say I was around 155 lbs 34D-DD 5’6”. My belly measured within the normal range for gestation. There is also a coordinating sheer scarf/shall, I would include.

nmaroun12 @lina86 Thank you! But I owe most of it to the dress! The material was very forgiving, masked my problem areas. The bodice is reinforced so it doesn’t show those baby rolls!

nmaroun12 @lina86 The dress has a lace overlay. It does have some floral print but mostly a traditional lace with vines and swirls it is accented with a shimmery stitching and some iridescent sequins that are very flat and sewn into the dress. I truly adore the dress, and don’t think I would have had the confidence to be a pregnant maid of honor without it! I hope it can do the same for another Mama to be!

nmaroun12 @lina86 I recommend talking to a local seamstress if you are concerned! The bodice is one layer of fabric reinforced with wire. I ordered the dress 6 months in advance and had it taken in the week of the wedding. The most costly work has been done, it should only require a simple alteration if anything in order to fit you.
