Hi, I’m interested in this dress and would like to discuss.

Hello! I’m interested in your dress but have never gotten anything on poshmark before so apologies if I’m a little hesitant. May I ask why this has never been worn? Is the length hemmed to your height at 5’4” or is it hemmed at like 5’6” because of the 2inch heels you mentioned? LMK if there’s an easier way to chat with you about it! Thanks so much in advance. I tried this exact same dress on yesterday but it was also my first dress fitting haha :)

@yusooyeon Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, my wedding was canceled, so I never had the opportunity to wear this dress to my wedding. It is my dream dress although it’s not very ostentatious. The fabric quality makes such a difference and it’s especially beautiful in sunlight. It is hemmed to 5’6”, so my height with 2-inch heels. Take your time deciding. I know the dress is a big decision. I had needed to go back to try on this dress for a second time when I picked it out.

@ajkdreamer I’m SO sorry to hear that and apologies for asking. Thank you so much for the response and honesty. I want to try ONE more place on Dec 3rd (trying to see if they can get me in next week) but if that doesn’t work out I think this is my dress! Would love to have “dibs” if someone else becomes interested but I’m sure that’s not a thing here and I wouldn’t want to make you wait. Just thought I’d try anyways! :)

@yusooyeon I don't mind letting you have dibs. I'm not in a rush to sell this dress. I'd just like to find someone who would make good use of it and love it as much as I do. Regardless of your choice, I hope you find a beautiful dress and wedding day.

@ajkdreamer that is so kind of you. I know exactly what you mean about the dress being so simple but so elegant and gorgeous in that way. That’s what made me fall in love with it too! Thanks so much - I’ll be sure to come back and let you know… like you said, I just need to try on a few more before being certain this one is it! I’ll be back :)

@ajkdreamer hi!!! I just wanted to let you know I ended up finding my dress at Anthro instead and on sale so I won’t be coming back to you after all. Thanks so much for your kindness! Cheers

Hi, please let me know if you’ll consider at some point reducing the price of this dress! I’ve tried this dress on in store too and fell in love. Someone on here sold theirs for $300 but she never shipped it out to me so I’m desperately looking for it again

@ldamonddd Thank you for expressing your interest. I love that you love this dress as much as I do! To be honest, I was not considering reducing the price in the immediate future, but I wish you well in your search. I am confident that you will find an absolutely special and beautiful dress!

Hey girl! I’m super interested. Do you have some more pictures you would be able to share?
Mar 04Reply

ajkdreamer
@bfisch24 Hi, what specifically are you hoping to clarify?
Mar 04Reply

bfisch24
@ajkdreamer a picture of the full train (how long it is), different lighting, and a few more full length pictures that aren’t cropped really small!
Mar 04Reply

ajkdreamer
@bfisch24 gotcha, good timing since the light is still out. Added more pictures. The train measures 65 inches from the bottom button if that also helps.

@ajkdreamer perfect!! That’s all super helpful!! I’m going to try on the same dress at a boutique in town and make sure i love it, and then I’ll be in touch. Last question, did you have any issues with alterations and do you feel that they did a great job?
Mar 04Reply

ajkdreamer
@bfisch24 I’m glad you’re going to see it in-person. It’s hard to capture the color on my camera. Good question, I was really impressed by the alterations at the bust and waist (to be fair, this was my first experience with altering a garment in that area). The hem was a straightforward alteration (two layers). Same with the bustle (not very complicated). I went with the seamstress at the boutique. She had an eye for detail. Don’t feel rushed into the decision.

ajkdreamer
@bfisch24 Long story short, I was really happy with the alterations. It fit perfectly after one session.

Hello! I’m really interested in this dress and would love to know how you’ve preserved it. I actually just tried it on in-store and totally fell in love—i literally said “yes to the dress” but I had to back out because of the price and the crazy alteration quote at Pronovias. I went to about 10 stores before absolutely falling in love with this dress—it’s my dream! I’d love to give it a new home—let me know. I just want to know it’s been in good hands. Thanks!
Mar 14Reply

ajkdreamer
@shaninnn good morning, I’m so glad you love this dress too! I’ve only had it about 7 months, so I didn’t have it preserved. It needs a good steam, but it’s been hanging in my closet in the garment bag.
Mar 14Reply

shaninnn
@ajkdreamer Ahh I see! And where did you originally get the dress from?
Mar 14Reply

ajkdreamer
@shaninnn I got it from a local boutique, which ordered it for me directly from Pronovias, so it was new before alterations.

Hey! I’m very interested :)
Did you have to remove any fabric to the skirt to make it less “full” or was that an option? I know you can remove the tulle underneath, but I am a true size 4 in dresses, and since the dress was originally a size 8 I’m wondering if it would look odd and not proportional. Sorry if that doesn’t make sense! Do you offer try ons if you are local? (I’m based in New Jersey) Ty!!
Mar 20Reply

ajkdreamer
@gchun615 hi, I didn’t need to remove any of the circumference of the skirt. I guess since it’s A-line, it looks proportional already even with hemming. I think we’re a little too far away unfortunately!
Mar 20Reply

gchun615
@ajkdreamer thanks! Do you mind measuring the height of the dress (I guess from the top of armpit area straight down to the bottom of the dress)? I’m 5ft 6in tall and wanted to check that with flats on it will hit just above the floor.
Mar 20Reply

gchun615
Or sorry, I think it would be more accurate to measure from from the mid collarbone to bottom of the dress with your heels on! So like #14 (blue line) in the picture listed on the website. https://www.pronovias.com/nl/template-size-pronovias
Thanks so much!
Mar 20Reply

ajkdreamer
@gchun615 That measurement is 52 inches
