This pretty tunic from Johnny Was BIYA can be worn as a tunic top or a beach cover-up! With open sides that have a single button closure, the top has extensive elaborate embroidery on the front, back and borders. The embroidery features colorful pastel flowers and squares, with a border of alternating dot color formations. This embroidered pattern rests on a sea of slate blue Cupro Fabric (see below for definition). The buttons are fabulous...little woven mandalas resting on embroidery (there's even a spare attached button!). The two side buttons clasp the fabric together, creating a connection for the side panel and inventing a sort of "squared sleeve" (pictured in the fourth photo).
*Note: Just like in a washed silk, the cupro material varies in shade. There are 2 stains on this tunic (pictured in the last 2 photos). The fabric drapes, so they are not very visible when worn. There’s a 2” vertical line stain on the front about 8” to the left of the central embroidery, across from where the button placket ends. There is a 1.5” square stain in back, about 6 inches from the bottom hem.
Measurements: Length: 31'; Width: 38" measured flat across underarms
Fabric: 65% Cupro, 35% Rayon. Trim:100% Polyester. (Cupro fabric is a semi-synthetic textile made from cotton linter, a byproduct of cotton production. It's often referred to as "vegan silk" due to its soft, smooth, and draping qualities, similar to silk)
