This is the Joelle Hawkens Goat Skin Junket Satchel. I have a few of them and they're absolutely wonderful! Brass, goatskin, and a well made bag. It's important to keep this well conditioned so the goat skin doesn't dry out. I use Cadillac gentle leather lotion - it's perfect for it! Your price is a steal and this bag is VERY difficult to find - as production was very short. I have so many bags, many designer as well - yet this bag is seriously one of my all-time favorites! It's a beauty!

Most goat skin bags are higher end bags (example, the Givenchy Antigona), Joelle Hawkens bags in this era were so well-made and great styles! I miss their California boutique!
