magpiemaven This is precious...Looks exactly like something my Mom would have crafted back in the day. She lost everything in a fire about 10 years ago or so. She actually made some huge pieces that were so well done the back of the piece looked exactly like the front. They almost looked like photographs at first glance from afar. Everyone in town was devasted for her, as they all Knew how beautiful her pieces were.

magpiemaven We had just gotten her into this apartment building six months prior, and it was a fire started somewhere in the kitchen the whole place went so fast, but everyone was OK, Thank God. Anywho...It’s all good and No one injured at all. Now there’s was less Stuff to think about. 🤷🏻‍♀️😎

luv_to_posh @magpiemaven that’s so disheartening! She obviously had great talent if she could make the back look like the front. I’d love to pick her brain because mine were awful. I’d frame them & pray that no one would ever have to take them out. lol. I know how broken hearted she must have been to lose them. I lost a ton of my keepsakes & collectibles when the tornado hit. I kept that stuff & all of my holiday decorations in the attic. Naturally it rained non stop for days after it hit.

luv_to_posh @magpiemaven oh btw, I have quite a few pieces of cross stitch. Only one or two more are in frames but all are vintage with some being antiques. If you’re interested, I can go ahead & get them listed this weekend. Like you, I desperately need to get rid of things. And like you, I’ve given away a good bit & close to giving it all away!! Lol

magpiemaven @luv_to_posh Same here... i’ve been trying to gift people some thing that they may have liked, as long as I didn’t pay too too much for it, even a couple of those I will be getting rid of as well one day. You are so sweet and I absolutely love your energy. I can’t imagine going through that kind of a storm, we just damn near freeze to death and spend 10 times more than we should in the winter time on propane. But those storm, with the weather warefare against the good people...
