I wore this to my brother’s wedding. The lingerie straps are removed and there used to be a strap running in the back from shoulder to shoulder, but it did not survive the wedding. I think it’s prettier without, but it does mean the dress has to fit just right across your shoulders so they aren’t slipping. For reference I am 5’10 and 185lbs.
