brooka747 Hello! I’m very interested in this dress. However, my bust and waist measurements are a couple inches larger than what you have listed for the dress. Was it tailored in a way that it could be let back out? Thank you so much!

jmdubs @brooka747 I wouldn’t recommend trying to let the dress out, the beading is very delicate. The dress has quite a bit of flexibility built into the cut — as you can see from some of the later photos, it hung somewhat loosely on me but still flattering. What are your measurements?

jmdubs @brooka747 the waist measurement is probably most important — less give to the dress in that area. It sits very high, mine fell at the very bottom of my rib cage a couple inches above belly button.

brooka747 @jmdubs Hello Julia! Thanks for the quick response! My waist is 32” and my bust is 39”. It looks like the bust would be pretty flexible. Do you think the waist could fit 32”? Are there any major flaws? It’s a beautiful dress! You were stunning on your big day!

jmdubs @brooka747 I will take a look and measure again tomorrow for you. No major flaws, just professionally dry cleaned for $165. Any chance you are local to Northern California? If so, you’d be welcome to try it on first.

jmdubs @brooka747 I just remeasured my own waist right at the bottom of my ribcage (29.5) and the waist of the dress (30). The bust would be no problem, but unfortunately I think the waist will be a little too small. Are you measuring up high a few inches below the bust? You can see from the photos it’s a very high waist.
