I understand the reality verses the facade all too well because many don't understand Lupus and why I'm so sick every other week. @peacegoddess there's a drawer in the wall by the personal po boxes, they scan and send what I assume is a bin of boxes behind the wall 5x a day. I've never had a problem. I walk in, slide my boxes in the drawer... within a few hours it's tracking. 😁

I’m not quite sure how I landed on this but am literally just back from my own doctor where I learned my own chronic illness is in full relapse. I’ve been sick so many years I don’t remember what it’s like to wake up with a clear head and no pain but yes, I was recently blessed with an incredibly generous gift of a treatment Medicare won’t cover that’s supposed to finally get me to a higher level of functioning and I am hoping and praying for the same for you! 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

Thanks to one of your PFFs bringing your closet to my attention. It was a reminder that there is a community on here that cares beyond the sales and the flash deals. I was born with Cerebral Palsy but in late October of 2018 I woke up in severe back pain. What I thought was going to be a “quick” trip to the ER turned into a month long hospital stay and a medical leave from my job indefinitely. Many diagnoses were thrown around including MS.

I was officially diagnosed in March 2019 with a incomplete spinal cord injury from C2-C7. The Cerebral Palsy complicates things. Every time I stand or walk I essentially keep injuring myself more. Within the next 2 months I will transitioning to a power manual wheelchair. But I won’t let that stop me. I’m in the process of saving up for a van that will be converted with a ramp so I can continue to drive.

Amanda this isn’t over. Do you know how many people I see get liver transplant who have nothing but the clothes on their back. Plus you have all of us collecting funds. You are going to be ok. I was dying at one time and wanted to die. I got so tired of the exhaustion and laying in my bed staring at the walls while everyone else was out living.

I lost friends because I didn’t call them - I was too tired to talk and I felt like there was nothing to talk about anyway. I didn’t want to see people. I just wanted to lay in my bed until I died. And then somehow I survived all the mistakes that were made at the hospital when I should have died. I had not a dime with my transplant. And I do have a stack of bills - they come in every month.

Every blue moon I mail somebody some money. They can’t do anything to me. I have my new organ and I have no money. All I have is debt. I don’t even have my job anymore. So those collectors can come on - there is nothing to take from me besides clothes (lol). I pulled through this and you are going to too. I will have to find a picture of me when I was sick. But really we are always considered sick. You have too many people pulling for you. And don’t you dare spend money on doctor bills.

@arcross82 every package I send out I wrap only in purple, I put a note explaining why, I out a tag saying thanks 1.00 goes to LFA. Then I pit a lupus pamphlet and stickers on the wrapped gift and outside the box. Just think all the US mail people that see the stickers and all across America sees it as I sell as I state in my thanks you cards as a lupus Ambassador I made it my job to teach the world what purple stands for one person at a time

@heidizme I have a postcard size thank you card that’s green with liver donor and my closet info on it. So I totally understand. I’d love to get the national exposure from Ellen. I’m glad I live in a big city and it got put on the news 3x one day, and 1x a follow up day!! It’s awesome to finally get word spread farther. I couldnt have doe it w/out PFFs
