The Japanese Tokoname Kyusu Teapot is a handmade vintage teapot originating from Japan. Crafted from brown clay in the Tokoname region, this teapot features a traditional right-handed design commonly used in Japanese tea ceremonies. With its cultural significance and meticulous craftsmanship, this teapot embodies the essence of Japanese tea culture and makes for a unique and collectible piece for tea enthusiasts and collectors alike. Obviously brand new with the stickers. There are two small chips that I have taken pictures of. Last two pictures. I don’t think it much matters being authentic. It must’ve been chipped in the store. Cast Iron Teapot Mesh Stainless Steel Infuser fits inside Removable lid Handle stands up or rests on its side Spout marked with Japanese writ Tetsubin teapots and kettles are utilized for boiling and pouring hot water for drinking purposes, especially for steeping and brewing tea. This teapot is for hot water to be poured into it for brewing, to be suspended over an irori hearth, charcoal or a binkake brazier and/or used for decoration, but should not make contact with flame or fire.
