Japanese Kazaribako Glass Box Rare Hagoromo Kyohei Fujita

A brilliant Kazaribako "Ornamented Box Top” made of glass by Japanese artist Kyohei Fujita (1921-2004). Its thick glass walls are embedded with pink chucks of light-filtering crystal. The glass is further infused with crushed gold and silver leaves, shimmering under the light in mystery and glory. This specific ornamental pattern is relatively rare in the artist's repertoire and was called "Hagomoro" (Feathered Cloak). The rim of the cover is lined with sterling silver. Etch signed on the base. Top only, no base.
