Japanese Glass Bonsai Tree Yellow Flowers

This is a Japanese glass bonsai tree. It was made in Japan in the 90’s. Variations in themes and sizes were usually sold in higher end gift and home décor stores. These handmade trees trees became a traditional artform in both Japan: with the Japanese Glass Bonsai Trees, and in China: with the Miniature Jade Tree. This is a 8.5” x 8.5” bonsai in a light blue/green replica jade planter. The flowers and leaves were hand produced in glass and then hand wired to the tree to create the flowers and leaves. The front left of the corner of the container has a glaze skip in the finish - see picture - this is not a chip in the container. This is a glaze blemish that can occur during the firing of handmade ceramics... the lighter spot in the blue/green glaze is UNDER the high gloss over glaze. There is no crack, chip or hole in the glaze surface, only a lighter spot in the color under the finish. These bonsais were hand produced - variations between the pieces are the byproduct of handmade Glass and ceramic processes.
