A Bit of History:
The Fukagawa Family, which lit its first ceramic kiln in 1650, founded its own crafts company FUKAGAWA-SEIJI in 1894. The company was awarded the Grand Prize at the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris, and in 1910 FUKAGAWA-SEIJI was appointed official purveyor to the Japanese Imperial Household.
The three most famous varieties: Imari ware (or Arita ware) from Saga Prefecture, Mino ware from Gifu Prefecture and Seto ware from Aichi Prefecture are the perfect starting points to understanding the art of Japanese ceramics. Dating back to the 16th century, Arita porcelain has a global reputation for its quality.
I do have other lovely Bells listed if interested.
