An sculptural cocktail ring designed by Jean Mahie.
A very rare sculptural cocktail ring, created in Paris France by the artist, sculptor and goldsmith Jean Mahie, back in the late 1970's. The sculptural imposing cocktail ring has been carefully crafted in solid rich yellow gold of 22 karats and the entire surfaces were finished with textured, chiseled and hammered patterns. It is embellished ion top with one earth mined natural translucent blue-green tourmaline. Rings from Mahie, with color gemstones like this, are extremely rare and are mostly one of a kind pieces created by special commissions.
Tourmaline: Mount in the center in a four-prongs setting, with 1 emerald cut (15 x 13 x 8 mm) of a natural blue-green tourmaline of about 13.25 carats.
Weight: 40.2 grams (25.77 Dwt).
Size: 7 and can be easily resized on request.
Measurements: 23 mm by 26 mm (0.95 x 0.95 Inches) and raise 10 mm over the finger.
Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks, the national mark of the head of the eagle for the assay and warranty of the 22kt gold, the maker's mark JM inside a lozange cartouche associated to the atelier of Jean Mahie and signed in full, "JEAN MAHIE ".
