as a practical matter - i would normally be a comfortable 4 in jcrew and as you see in the comments it runs small. It fits me for sure but closer than i think a normal jcrew on the waist would be. - if you are kind of a 4/6 skip it - if you are a true 4 or smaller seems ok to me based on my fit
