JBK Vintage Camrose and Kross Inaugural Gala Crystal Emerald Rhinestone Necklace

In 1986 Camrose & Kross introduced their JBK line with a goal to produce faithful, costume-jewelry reproductions of some of the most famous examples of fine jewelry worn by John F. Kennedy’s First Lady, Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy who had a luxurious fashionable sense of style. Camrose & Kross made JBK earrings, brooches, bracelets, and necklaces Jackie had a love of the romantic nature of emeralds. After wearing the necklace and the matching earrings to the January 20, 1961 inaugural ball, she often wore this set throughout her life. The emerald set was a gift from JFK to Jackie to commemorate becoming first lady in November, 1960. Much of the jewelry JFK gift Jackie featured emeralds, signifying his family's homeland, Ireland ("the Emerald Isle"). This representation of Jackies original jewelry with JBK signed on the clasp features emerald Swarovski crystals prong-set in a delicately patterned chain in 24k gold plate. The necklace features eight Swarovski emerald stones and white Swarovski crystals. Measurements: 17.5” Condition: Preowned. In excellent condition as pictured. For over a ten-year period, Camrose & Kross painstakingly created replicas of many of Former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy’s personal pieces of jewelry. However, these pieces are no longer manufactured and the molds have been destroyed. Pieces from The Jacqueline Kennedy Collection are becoming more and more scarce and, therefore, HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE.
