Missing the top, has small chip on top edging (see photos) J & G Meakin was a British pottery company founded in 1851 in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. The company was known for producing durable and affordable earthenware, often decorated with transfer-printed patterns. Their products were popular both in the UK and for export, particularly to Commonwealth countries. The Kashmir pattern, featuring a Chinoiserie-inspired floral design, was one of J & G Meakin's most recognizable and enduring patterns. It was produced in various colorways and on a wide range of tableware items. This pattern reflects the Victorian era's fascination with exotic designs and the increasing availability of mass-produced ceramics for the middle class. J & G Meakin ceased production in 2000, making their vintage pieces collectible today.
