J Crew Vegan leather headband. Good used condition, the leather is coming off of the metal structure of the headband at its ends (see photos) but that is easily repairable. @elexisruimveld you can’t sell stuffed animals here on Poshmark, which is why I use other sites. If you’re interested in sea friend, there is one I could get and sell you for $125, which covers my costs including international shipping. All bears I sell go into the dryer in a clean pillowcase as soon as I receive them as an extra precaution.

SHe is pricey and rare and requires international shipping, so I could sell you her for around $200-$225 depending on the final price of auction. I just sold a true heart for this price recently. I will also keep an eye and tell you as I find them.

Same seller has a couple of the rare cousins but those are over $500 (cat and monkey). This seller prices too high IMO. I have been watching for awhile while I was searching for my horse and while the bears and cousins are rare and in amazing condition, it’s just too much... but I’m telling you so you have the info!

@funkyj USPS has been a bit rough since the pandemic hit. I only FedEx the vintage Care Bears I sell since USPS lost a boxed 80s care bear on me, and I needed to take the hit and make the customer while. She really wanted the bear so I tracked another down for her rather than a refund, but I lost a lot, thus FedEx.

@funkyj Other items I decide based on value. Posh is great with guarantees if you ship with them correctly and document, so I’m confident with priority from here always! Posh has always helped me with any ship issue and like selling here bc of their support.

@funkyj as a seller, with shipping document the steps of boxing, drop off and get a receipt, make sure it scans, protect yourself that way. As a buyer, just stick to sites like posh and M and E that protect the buyer in most shipping problems. If anything, by using these sites the buyer is safer than the seller with shipping mishaps in my experience!

@funkyj I just got good with my own collection, also built up contacts, and then turned it into my side hustle for medical bills. The other one was in such good condition so the price was high, but most sea friends I sell aren’t priced as expensively. It’s all about my costs which are usually related to the bear’s condition. People seem to want sea friends right now so I will keep trying to get them, and I’m sure we will find the right one for you!

@funkyj ps: I’m also working on getting a forest friend to list and sell. You said that was also on your wish list, right? I am planning on listing a maverick tenderheart/I love you bear hybrid this week, but that bear will be pretty expensive as Mavericks are very rare, and I spent a lot to get him. I normally wouldn’t spend the $ on collecting something but I must have a Sea Friend. I wish I could get a Proud Heart cat but I will never spend or justify spending that kind of $ on a plush. I understand how rare and sought after some of these are but I have my limits of course. Anyway, I’ll keep checking back with you.

@funkyj aww, I’m so sorry your bear purchase was a disappointment! Since I do a lot of buying, ive def felt disappointed and that the bear I’ve purchased had flaws not really visible in the photos ¬ specifically detailed in its description. I try to do the opposite— note every flaw I see & take corresponding photos, but not all sellers do. It’s really hard to get a bear in awesome vintage condition for a price on the lower end of the price spectrum these days.

@funkyj hope I can find you a sea friend &any others that hit the sweet spot between price & condition. At first, I was happy to find the bears at all, &definitely chose to “trade up” later. Selling the extra was how I started selling. I have had customers who prefer a preloved look for their collections, so continuing to look out for the right forest friend then selling this one is an option if you’re really not happy. Like I probably mentioned, Care Bears became my side hustle to help with bills, especially medical bills, so not fun but it’s good to make bill progress and get bears to happy customers.The sea friend I purchased and am waiting to receive next cost me less, and perhaps that will be a possibility for you. @lisadickerson99 I have a great sea friend up right now that is a little expensive but near mint condition, so considering that, he is a lot less than a bear of his quality usually goes. The other one I haven’t listed though is the one I think you might like— this one is in very pre-loved condition, but he is the lowest priced sea friend I’ve ever had. I want to do a little make over on him before listing.

@whimsicalv I got a warning a couple years ago from Poshmark management for a plush listing, saying it was against policy. I know they are sold despite the rule, but I don’t want to risk suspension since I was given the warning, so I use the other sites for my little vintage care bear side hustle!
