The color is called Dusty Thistle on the J. Crew pallet. The first two picture have a better idea of the color.

@libbez I'm not sure what you mean? There is not a tie in the back. The top half of the dress has a horizontal design and the bottom half of the dress is vertical. Picture 2 shows the back of the dress better.
