J.Crew Retail (not J.Crew Factory). Majesty Coat in Turquoise (as shown in above images); Size 4. Tags still attached, never worn. I never got around to wearing it because I have the same coat in several other colors 🙈. This color is not available this season. Actual photos & measurements will be uploaded this weekend (10/23). Images 1,3 from J.Crew; image 2 from google search. I paid full price for this so while negotiable, I will decline offers that are too low.

miganalice How is the sizing comparing to other brands such as Banana Republic? J.Crew seaters/ cardigans run big for me, so I want to make sure.

daintywhimsy Hi @miganalice I'm not familiar with banana republic's current coat sizing but I do recall that a few years back, BR's tag sizing did generally run smaller than jcrew's. In my opinion, this version of the majesty coat runs true to size to slightly large. So I'm thinking that if a size 4 coat at BR fits and/or is too big on you, then this coat will probably be big on you as well. I hope this helps!

daintywhimsy @miganalice if possible, I'd suggest trying on the current version of this coat at a jcrew retail store to get a better idea!

lobalde Hi there. When I google this coat in the color turquoise the images that are coming up are much lighter than this one. Just wanted to be sure on the exact color. Thanks so much!!

daintywhimsy @lobalde hello there! My apologies for the late reply-i must have missed it in my news feed. The color is as pictured, if not slightly richer. The official color name was “turquoise” at the time but this coat is from at least 2 years ago (I’ll get back to you after I check the exact year) so j.crew’s turquoise may be lighter now, although I am not sure.

daintywhimsy @lobalde actually, it might have been from 3 yrs ago, because the redesign of the majesty coat that came out in 2016(?) came in a lighter turquoise color called “heather turquoise,” if I remember correctly. Nevertheless, I will update you after I have checked the year. I’ll get actual photos posted up as well.

daintywhimsy @lobalde I’m so sorry to do this but I just got back from work and tried on the coat and I think I’m going to have to delete this listing and keep the coat! I forgot how much I liked it...my apologies! 😅😅🙈 I’ll leave the listing up for a bit so that you get a chance to see this- if you’re looking to track one down, the tag says it’s from the 2014 holiday season. lobalde @daintywhimsy I’m with you!! I just ordered one from JCrew this week. It’s longer and red and I love it. But of course I wanted a shorter one too in a different color. The one I just got is a bright royal blue!! FYI JCrew has 35% through tonight - code is FLASH. In case you want more 🤣😊😉
