dsk1964 @tamisimmons Hello there, no, you do not you. Put the caller on the pet's neck and you put the device plugged into the wall next to the doggy door for the area. You do not want the pet to go near. And it will beep and they will get a little zap. You can set it higher or lower. I always had it on a lower setting. And they learn to not go out the doggy door or in that area
