mariadonato1223 The case back of the watch also lost a lot of the ink imagery that appears to be left on the white cushion pillow. Did the battery leak causing the ink to come off on the cushion pillow? My husband has Invicta watches that are over 20 yrs old &the ink from the caseback never came off on the cushion pillow. Is the watch battery working or dead and needs to be replaced?

mariadonato1223 Was this watch sized because it looks like it is missing two links? If it was sized, do you have the removed links? jillibeen69 @mariadonato1223 ok, I have 5 links. I literally have not opened this box since my husband died 5yrs ago. It will need a new battery. However, I have a #371 battery brand new in its plastic thingy I will send. Most Invicta use this number from what I've found. I took a little alcohol and gently ran over the back. Some of that came clean. But i dont want to do anything else. I've added pictures.

jillibeen69 @mariadonato1223 So I'm not sure what that is on the back casing. I don't think its ink though. I don't want to mess with it incase I ruin it🤦‍♀️. My husband had Invicta for YEARS too and I've never seen this. However, I did look real close with a magnifying glass around the seal and it didn't come from inside the watch.

mariadonato1223 Thank you for getting back to me. I appreciate the additional info regarding the watch. I'm glad the watch has additional links, because everyone's wrist size is often different. Most pre-owned watches are always sized.

mariadonato1223 As I mentioned before, at least I know a replacement bracelet is available if one needs to be purchased, whether it be for scratches or sizing. In the event one is needed, it will cost after current discount, around $75.

mariadonato1223 As far as the battery, thank you for offering the one you have. However, I would take the watch to a jeweler for a new battery because they will honor a 3 year usage warranty on it if they replace it. They will only use their own new batteries when replacing one. Batteries usually need to be replaced every 3 years or so.

mariadonato1223 Also, I want a jeweler to open the caseback when replacing the battery because there is a strong possibility, since it's been 5 years or longer, that the old battery may have leaked battery acid inside the movement. If that is the case, the battery acid will need to be cleaned/removed, and the movement will need a servicing.

mariadonato1223 At the moment, we are $88 apart. Since there are some additional expenses to size & restore the watch to working order, can we meet in the middle where I come up $44 & you come down $44, resulting in adjusting the sale price to $269? I will submit a counteroffer for $270 and hopefully we can finalize this purchase.
