Intricate cutwork black and white 1950s dress

Bust 31” Waist 24” Hips free Length 42” with no seam allowance When I originally found this dress at a vintage shop I screamed because it’s just that good. The cutwork detailing on the bodice and lower skirt make this dress so special, and the attention to detail is incredible. The cutwork design is even on the back of the collar — they just don’t make dresses like this anymore, outside of couture. Light, crisp cotton with a metal side zipper. No label, but possibly a designer piece that has lost its label. Gorgeous full skirt, and a Peter Pan collar and shirtwaist design up top. The cutwork is real, so this dress requires a slip, and the look of the dress therefore depends on the color of the slip. So cool! I’ve seen some similar cutwork dresses just go down the runway at fashion week. Condition: a small loose seam at the left waist, and the cutwork at the left armpit is a bit frayed. Other than that, excellent. Cotton is crisp, white and strong, with no stains, rips, yellowing or other issues.
