hewbie I have a question. I started in February and want to know if some likes ❤️ an item, should I send them an offer. A lot of people do that. It seems like when I send an offer who liked one of my items, most of the time I get no response. How do you know if they are really interested in buying? Should I keep sending offers when items are liked by Poshers? What are your thoughts on this?

kimkay78 @hewbie Hello Colette, Sending offers to people who like your items is a personal preference. A lot of people send offers because it might prompt a sale. I would do what you are comfortable with. I personally don’t like to send them because I feel like it comes off as pushy. There are a lot of people who like but don’t buy. I feel that if someone really wants my item they will eventually make an offer.

kaleidoscope9 Why do people send you their email address to do business? I have had 2 people try to get me to go to email as opposed to doing business directly on here. Makes no sense unless they are up to no good.

kimkay78 @kaleidoscope9 Hello Lori, Any person trying to get you to email them is a scammer. They are trying to get your email, any personal information and will likely try to find a way to plant a virus to get to your money. If you report them to Poshmark they will be removed.

moshi1972 Well as a seller and a buyer I always ask for a price and discount shipping in the comments. I think pms shipping is way too high on most of their items. I mean you know it doesn’t cost 7 bucks to ship a pair of earrings, when a seller can easily lower the shipping fees. I will do this for my buyers if asked or of course doing a price drop. So my point being if u get a ? on shipping usually it’s another seller.

moshi1972 So when you say u don’t discuss prices and in the comments I feel that is a bit harsh. I would also add to the new poshers do not take offers personally. That drives me crazy when people go nuts over a offer. I had one lady tell me I was like the worst person in the world because of a offer, I have dyslexia and it makes it really hard to spell, do not, please do not comment on a person’s intelligence that it is extremely rude. In my listing I make sure to look up the spelling to have it perfect.

moshi1972 Just thought I’d add a couple things to help the new poshers out. Please be curtious and well mannered and helpful to ur buyers cause you never know what’s going on with them personally. Also please send thank you notes with your packages. You can just write something nice on a piece of paper, you don’t need to run out and buy thank you cards unless u want to. kimkay78 @moshi1972 Hello Moshi, This listing was meant to list the guidelines I have in my personal closet. Everyone if free to conduct their own selling guidelines as they see fit. I feel that negotiating prices should be between the seller and potential buyer. If a buyer clicks bundle on an item I am happy to negotiate prices and answer price related questions in the comment section of that bundle. I choose not to have these conversations in the comments of the listing as this can be seen by all.
