Impervious Roadrunner Bowl 1960s

Bowl is a glossy black, 7.75" diameter, 1.25" deep, 8oz, inlaid Roadrunner design. By Couroc, 1960s or earlier, made of their "impervious" black phenolic resin. The label on the back boldly claims that the bowl is impervious to acids, alkalis, boiling water and more! Despite that claim, the bowl is at least 60 years old and has lost some of the original glossy luster and from use and storage has some fine scratches and blotchy areas. A great display and conversation piece, and still functional, if you wish, for dips, nuts, candy, or trinkets.
