Imperial Glass Lace Edge Dish with Frosted Lion Lid

This impressive center piece serving relish/candy dish appears to be a marriage of two master craftsmen - First, the lace edged oval dish has the maker's mark "IG" clear on the bottom. This mark was used by the Imperial Glass Company. Next, the reclining frosted lion lid bears the words "Pat Aug 6, 1889" on the inside rim of the lid (see photo). This lion pattern was being made by Gilllinder & Sons in Philadelphia. This stunning lion lid fits this lace edge dish perfectly and they are both in excellent condition (there is a spot flea bite on the rim of the lid). Need a unique and valuable wedding gift?
