Ilona Rich “size 8” denim jacket with silk-lined ruffles and ugly doll buttons

Ilona Rich dark denim jacket featuring her signature Marge and Frisco characters in a Pucci-esque silk print lining on ruffles and as figurine buttons at collar and wrists. Two pockets at front, banded detail around right sleeve. Designer size 8, best fits a standard size XS - S, measurements on request. In very good preowned condition; slight discoloration at part of inner collar (see last picture). Made in the USA. Ilona Rich is a special part of early-aughts NYC fashion history, described by the press as “the fashion equivalent of Tourette’s syndrome, combining early Courtney Love grunge with a soupçon of Rainbow Bright.” Nicky Hilton, who (with her sister Paris) modeled in Ilona’s 2001 runway show at Gracie Mansion, called it “Oscar de la Renta meets Patricia Field.”
