My hubby & I went for a ride today, part way around the north shore of Lake Mead, ending at the start of The Valley of Fire. It was a warm (almost 80°) March day…perfect riding weather! I love the desert! At Valley of Fire., after visiting with other bikers, we shared a table in the shade with another couple & had lunch. We headed off into the sunset, taking pictures of it on the way. What a perfect day of therapy!

piranhawench @goodtreasures Thanks again! I appreciate your help! As soon as I have all the controls on the site, I’ll play around with them & see if I can figure it out! One question…I’m trying to make a picture for my hubby of his car in the sunset. I have the car cut out, but is my only choice of backgrounds limited to what they offer & online? I have the picture I want to put the cat onto but couldn’t get it there. Maybe after I get full controls…I won’t come looking for help till I’ve tried to do it.

goodtreasures @piranhawench the scanning function on some phones is pretty remarkable. If it’s a glossy photo, you’re probably gonna have some issues you can always take your own picture or think outside the box on how to find it. The trouble that I run into is when I’m trying to fit something into the picture I want, sometimes it’s not in the dimensions that I need.

goodtreasures @piranhawench Like if I want to put myself at the carnival, I might find a bunch of carnival pictures that don’t have the perspective that makes the photo look realistic with me in it . So I either have to figure out how to get myself in a position that looks authentic to match that or I have to find the setting that matches the position I’m in

goodtreasures @piranhawench then, if you’re lucky enough to find that the perspective and picture are good, now you have to worry about whether the resolution is high enough that you can blow it up to about 2000 x 2000 square for a regular social media or Poshmark post.

goodtreasures @piranhawench the real headache will be after you get all of it together and then take it to Walgreens to make a poster out of it and realize that the sucky resolution that worked in a small photo will not work when you blow it up. So you’ve got a demand higher resolution at the beginning. The best you can get without getting too bat shit about it

goodtreasures @piranhawench your camera phone will take that high-resolution picture. It’s just a matter of figuring out where to push the button.
