lex__kitten Desert hearts spring festival this weekend? Have fun!!! I would've loved to go. I have plans to go to LIB and Burning Man (once I get a ticket. It was so hard to get one that I even made an ISO post on Poshmark lol). I'd love to go Symbiosis again since it was so much fun last year, but that depends if I can get the days off work after BM. Haha 🙈

littlemoonchild Hi! I don't mind at all. I took a year off after undergrad to teach in South Korea and thats the year I did the most traveling and got hooked. I've done two 5 month backpacking trips in South East Asia and in Europe since my year in Korea. I'm in grad school now so I have a student schedule that allows me the flexibility of travel :) @lex__kitten

littlemoonchild There's a misconception that you need a lot of $ to travel but you really don't. I opened up two travel credit cards and have gotten two free flights out of them. And I usually stay with friends or look for hosts on couchsurfing and save a lot of money on accomodation (it's also a much better experience in my opinion because you have a local taking you around vs. you going around all the tourist spots)! I'm happy to answer any other questions :) @lex__kitten

lex__kitten @littlemoonchild yeah I definitely agree with the misconception of needing money travel. It's just that I'm working full time now so it makes it harder to travel 😔 I thought I'd ask in case you had a job that requires you to travel! That would be very cool. I definitely miss the flexibility of being in school!

lex__kitten I thought about teaching English abroad since English lit was one of my majors during undergrad. I also have plans to save up and just take a road trip around America next year for a few months or spend the time road-tripping around Italy. If you ever get the chance to road trip around a foreign country, I definitely recommend it. There's so many towns and villages you get to see that you wouldn't as easily be able to otherwise.
