@luvmyqh6 Oh my. Gunner is perfect! How old is he? His is is perfect. He's a thoroughbred correct? I used to train horses and adopted the horse whisper technique that really works. Tried it on a Mustang once but the horse was so frightened no amount of sweet talk, oats, apples, carrots would make that poor thing come to me. Arabians are my favorite though.

@luvmyqh6 I do like quarter horses also. Used the Arabians for the endurance races. I'd trust those horses to go up the steepest incline or decline and it never had a slip or fall. I would give it free rein sit back and let the horse lead me. Are you familiar?

@shari23114 Hi! I'm so sorry for the delay in answering my friend at our stables had a funeral to go to and is up in Michigan and I taking care of her horse while she is away! So I have been doing errands and picking up feed hay and goodies. For both Mine and her's! Gunner is mine he is a TBQH he is a sweet quiet big boy! I have had him since he was 6 months old! He is now 11 years old!! Been in shows with him and brought home titles but then I had a heart attack and 3 open heart surgeries and sold all my horses but him! Can't give up my baby!! I see you left me more messages! Let me read them and answer you! Sorry it took me this long to answer!! 😊❤️🐴

@shari23114 I had a Morgan when I was younger and lived in NJ! He took me straight up steep mountains! Trusted him with my life back then!! I had no fear back then LOL!! Was also a (Snow) Speed Skier! NCA cheerleader and a Gymnast too! Funny when we were young how we had no fear!! LOL 😊❤️🐴

I use to help my grandma grow crops in the Philippines, they had pigs, goats, chickens. I miss it. Every year we do our Taxes we pass by barns and I always wish i could own one. What a wonderful companion :)

I am so in love with gunner! I was practically born on the back of a horse. Your barn is gorgeous! I love hearing that your open hearts didn't stop you from loving your horse. Iwas a cardiac nurse for 8 years and i can tell you that the patients that went on to do the things they loved, with modification if necessary, always did so much better than those who didn't. I am a firm believer that horses are the best therapy in the world for any ailment. They truly do heal the soul🐴🐎

@churlysue001 Thank you so much he is my reason to keep going! I can't ride yet due to the wiring on my sternum bone, one wire was left loose and actually sticks out in between my ribs in the cartilage and stabs me every time I move a certain way. So getting up on my baby and riding is a challenge in its self! But just being with him in the pasture or grooming and bathing or just feeding him gives me joy!

@curlysue001 I was out the door this morning at 7am to feed and turn all the horses out didn't come in till just now and my hubby says, "what do you do out there all day?" I love it! I have had horses since I was very young! Just being around these gentle giants makes me fill fantastic!! I go out there everyday! They truly are a miracles to me!😊❤️🐴

Oh my I'm so sorry to hear about that wire. I know that happens on occasion and it just sucks. Hopefully they will fix that for you. But iknow exactly what you mean about just being able to be around them. To smell them, to hear their little snorts and the swish of their tail. @curlysue001 oh no worries! I forgot to tell you the first picture has Gunner on the left and his best bud Cody who is 35 years drinking out of the troth! They are inseparable! Any horse that try's to be mean to Cody will have to deal with Gunner blocking any harm to Cody no matter how Big! They have been together now for over 9 years. We nick name them Mutt and Jeff lol😊❤️🐴

It's funny how our animals become family. Really they allow us to be their family i think. I just know that my life would not have been fulfilled without them💗. Not that my kids didn't fulfill my life, lol. They are my world and so are my animals. Both my boys inheirited my love for all things in the animal kingdom. Quite abond we share

@lhaag721 we knew a couple of horses in FL that lived till they were around 50! It's how they are taken careful and kept away from harmful chemicals!! I'm Cody's adoptive mom lol Gunner is his adopted big brother! They know each other now for about 10 years! I just love spending time with them everyday! It kinda makes all my problems go away lol❤️😊🐴

@jewelinem Thank you so much! Spent today making a list of what they are running low on like feed, hay, shavings etc.. Then I play with them! Tomorrow I run from feed store to feed store getting everything! Then back to stock up, clean, feed, then maybe if we still have light a ride around the lake then, in for dinner!! Wouldn't have it any other way! Love our Gentle Giants!! 👍🏻😊❤️🐴

Starting to ease but it will be back in a few hours!! My nights snd days are messed up too!! I’m so bored! Going to let meds kick in and go to sleep! Thank you for the get well wishes!! I know it's a very uncomfortable illness. I'm considering that vaccine now tho I never had chicken pox which can bring on shingles. Poor doggies-probably laying near you cause they're worried about Mom 💕

@karenholmes77 Yes the shot to prevent Shingles....they have the shot now but it’s not in my records that I had it done for either the Chicken Pox or Shingles. You think with my 21 Drs I have they would asked me somewhere in time so it could of prevented me from getting Shingles again! Drs... can’t live with them but then I could live without some of them!🤦♀️ I had a temp and was up all Easter Eve, so I chose to stay home on Easter & slept all day!💁♀️🙋♀️❤️🐴

@myfurryfamily Hi Cathy, I’m starting to get my brain back in gear!🙃. You should ask your Dr about Chickenpox/Shingles. I think if you never had Chickenpox you less likely will not get Shingles. Not sure? Definitely ask your Dr for the shot! I would not wish this on anyone! It’s horrible! Mine went dormant for approx. 48 years! My fur babies are right next to me! My bunny had his 4th BD on Easter. Hubby has been good taking care of all! Thank you for all the sweet comments.💕🦮💕🐇💕🐶❤️🐴
