If I could I would have a ‘dog house’ -there’s a show by the name on tv 2 men, 80 rescues or some craze amt, and my dog walker friend in Chicago built a million dollar mansion actually DESIGNED for dogs, extra wide sills on all windows for dogs to lounge, a huge dog rinsing entryway, I mean, incredible. I finally had to stop fostering. Hahahahaha!!!!!!! I actually just had a sweet baby, I miss her terribly. But she has a great forever home. I hope your back on your feet soon. sportie40 Hello! Knowing your feelings toward animals ( especially the timid ones) warms my heart. My rescue dog is so sweet and literally afraid of her own shadow. Her reaction is to protect herself and try to in attack. I would never return her to a shelter. They are like kids.. you can’t just dump them. I have a friend who stopped traffic to save a butterfly that hit a windshield.

sportie40 #2. She took him home for a bit and he flew away. Drivers were pissed 😂🤣 she also rescues mice and gives them beautiful aquariums with food, toys etc. they even have names. So glad to hear others that care about the precious animals too!!!

jessicajeanc @katiebeisser Hello Lovely! I was, but my doctors all pushed hard for bone broth when I got extremely sick with Lyme and coinfections, so I had to work to do that. Now, I do eat eggs, from a local girl here in town that takes good care of her chickens... Are you vegan?

I stop for every turtle and get them across the road,I recently ran crazy to catch a bird that hit a window was rolling down roof below, and caught him! And held him until he recovered. Of course, every spider is caught an released...

Yeah, I haven't had red meat in years, it makes me sick at this point (physically and emotionally), I tried eating white meat when they wanted some meat back in, but it smells rotten to me even when it isn't🤢

sportie40 MY FAULT — she got so scared this past July 4th. Knowing she’s afraid of , the rain, thunder, crowds, fireworks, I walked her before it got too late. About 5 folks appeared from behind a truck. Two were on bikes. We never heard them approaching.

My husband and I have been married 29 years and we have rescued senior dogs and ones with special needs. It is our life. We don't go on vacations and don't really want to. thesilksowsear @jessicajeanc I have the best dogs in the world!! When I got sick. They were just puppies, brothers. As the medical bills got worse, their “best of everything” had to change a bit. Less than a year and it will all be paid off, they will be 8. They can’t fix me, but I can accept that and spoil them for the rest of their lives. 🥰🥰🥰

In my former life I bought my ‘kids’ meals from the fresh meat counter at Whole Foods (I myself was a vegetarian)!...Insane.So yeah, after losing my dog walking business to debilitating illness 3 yrs ago, we’re ordering bags of food for her from Amazon now (luckily her grandma brings her scraps of their meat meals😁).

thesilksowsear @jessicajeanc we love our new rescue Petey, I must say though this rescue has been more expensive than any other. He came home with us and we took him straight to the vet. Poor thing had an ear infection, upper respiratory infection and we still don’t know if he will be able to meow. We are broke this week, but he’s not wheezing, coughing or sneezing.

jessicajeanc @danatinnell Oh my gosh, Petey is A-DOR-A-BLE... And I feel your pain there! I was looking for a '4-5 yr old' 'midsize' and got my girl at 6 mths and 40 lbs, because she was so MELLOW and the fosters said she slept constantly! Yep, got her home, she acted odd right off, and she was sick...as a DOG...infections, parasites. And those VET BILLS, uff-da, oy! What we wouldn't do though huh?... My girl can have my every penny...

jessicajeanc @danatinnell I've looked in to Chewy, and just did again since you mentioned actually, since Ni'ta is due for bones :) but being largely homebound with chronic pain/immune system issues, I reply heavily on Amazon, thus Prime member, cash back card so that works best for us, but man, the number of Chewy boxes I used to haul in for all my dog walking clients back in my pet biz days, GOT to be a great way to go!!!😆👍🏼 Giver Petey a hug for us.❤️

thesilksowsear @jessicajeanc I get you there. I use Amazon Prime for everything. I just found they were getting higher and higher in my area. It started saying crazy things like “not available in your area” (they never did that back in the day) so the cheaper items weren’t ever available here. It really stinks because I pay the same for my Prime subscription but can’t get the stuff.

We are in a situation that we are just now paying our way out of spending 8 years going from Dr to Dr trying to find out what’s wrong with me and get me some help. We found out that wasn’t possible and stopped but have all of this debt to show for it. Ugh 😑

jessicajeanc @salmonmary Hello sweet people!! Yes, I am a heck of a' soft heart. I gave years to dog care while I had the health to do so. For now, any extra bucks I can make on here, to toward animal protection organizations. I still hang on to the dream of my own farm animal sanctuary someday, with a whole ton of rescue dogs assisting me, if/when my health turns around. You're welcome to all the slides, of course. WE must spread kindness in any way we possibly can. Hug on those grandpups for me!🤗🤗

My Molly was in the Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center for 9 days and recheck appts every 3 weeks has put me in the poor house. Trying to replenish my bank by clearing out my closet ! I have 2...I'm selling extra on posh to take care of my Starr's surgery and help with the financial struggle we are currently in since my mom's passing in December. sunsweet12 Thank you for all you do to help animals. We need more people like you! My sweet baby girl (Dobie/Lab/Dane mix) was used as a fight dog - not sure people understand how many lost and stray animals end up as bait dogs. Thanks to people like you, a rescue was able to step in. She’s one of few that made it out. I ended up “foster failing” and she’s my girl now…or I’m her’s, depends on the day! 😉💜

vivavogue @jessicajeanc I’m also a fellow animal lover! You’re such a beautiful and generous person. I stopped donating to any kill organization which ASPCA is one of. I donate to smaller volunteer rescue groups instead. I google charities and see salaries, how much is actually used for the animals, and if they euthanize.

Now I’m trying to do raise funds for shelters low on food with amazon lists in my hometown of CT. Thank you for ALL you do 🩷
