Hungarian Apron Matyo Kalocsa Embroidery Folk Lattice Work Blue Handmade #1 Gently used and well cared for. Edges are frayed and need to be tidied up. Tie back is also frayed at the ends. There is also a couple of tears to the tie that is attached to the waist. It is not visable from the front and seems to have been repaired. This is a bit more of a Veszpremi style of embroidery rather than Matyo or Kalocsai but I choose those terms since they are used more often when describing Hungarian embroidery. The bib will need to be pinned up with safety pins. The is no loop for the neck. This is not a flaw and the item was intentionally made this way. Waist from tie end to tie end - 52.5" Skirt length from bib hem to skirt hem - 26.5" History of my Hungarian Items for sale: Everything that I have listed that is Hungarian in nature is from my personal private collection. I am 1st generation Hungarian American and grew up with a heavy Hungarian influence. Everything was given to me or made by a family member (Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, God Mother, etc) or close family friend. Where possible, I will identify who was the craft master of each product.
