How to spot a fake Versace x H&M choker necklace

I am posting this in hopes that it will save at least one unknowing Posher from getting ripped off by the fakes that are listed for sale. Two of these three chokers are FAKE! I hope you can tell by the pictures alone that the middle one is the real one. Here are the things you should ask to see in a listing photo prior to purchasing it: 1. Insist on a photo of the back / inside of the necklace You will notice a few very telling differences. The fakes almost lay flat to the surface of the counter. The real one is a bit concave. The fakes have a rough texture vs smooth back. The real one is smooth, shines & is reflective. In one of the photos I am holding the box lid over it and you can see the reflection of it in the real choker. 2. Check the color. The real ones are usually a lighter, shiny almost Champagne gold color. The fakes are typically darker and almost look like a darker “vintage gold” or brass like color. 3. Insist on seeing the brand stamp. The real one is crisp & clear and the fakes are sloppy. 4. Beware of listings using the last two product photos. I’m not saying all listings with them are fake, but be cautious. Now that you know what to look for you should already be able to spot the color & reflective shine difference even in that photo of the model with the real one. vs. the fake one on the velvet bust. I am not even suggesting all people selling fakes even know what they have is fake. I hope you found this helpful. Happy Poshing!
