Lately, I have been seeing many non original Hermes tableware, so here are some tips on how to spot real hermes tableware.
All pieces will have a light grey symbol on the bottom. This is the artisan stamp, which identifies who made the piece. This symbol is small and a very faint grey. The non original will not have this stamp, or it will be black.
Lastly, check to see if it’s a design Hermes produced. For example, Mosaïque au 24 does not have a large “H” on its teacups.

Thank you for the very helpful information. However, I see one point that is not entirely true. You wrote "All pieces will have a light grey symbol on the bottom" but I know this is not true from my experience by purchasing many HERMES plates from HERMES boutique for years in the past. While most of them have the stamp, somehow some small portion of them do not have it. This makes it very confusing but I guess HERMES did not put it there for authentication purpose after all. Thanks again.
