I had the chukka boot in this band which is basically the same just a bit taller (two buttons) instead of the one. I am wanting to replace them as the soles turned hard and slippery, like I melted plastic or stepped in some thing that dried hard on it. Just want to confirm the soles are good and no dry rot. I’ve had mine for over 10 years and are starting to have some dry out issues
