Hierloom Navajo Turquoise Squash Blossom necklace with turtle motif c. 1900-10

The most beautiful authentic antique squash blossom necklace with turtle motif, dated c. 1900-10. It is silver, and tests similar to Mexican silver from the time. These pieces were often made with melted down high quality silver goods, and have a slightly higher silver content than modern sterling. This piece is an heirloom piece that has been handed down through several generations in one family. This piece has no makers marks or sterling marks, this is typical of authentic pieces from this time. The turquoise is from Morenci mine. It is marked with its signature pyrite and quartz deposits, as well as the gem like quality that is typical from this mine. This is an extremely rare piece and is in exceptionally good condition for its age. Length 28 inches. 237.7 grams in weight.
