Up for sale is a vintage Hermes kelly 32 in ostrich leather sellier style. Overall patina throughout. One thing I love about ostrich is just like box calf it develops a sheen as it ages. The turn lock is a bit loose and there are some pen marks underneath the flap. A few minor scratches and loose stitches on the pocket inside. Q in circle.

@liptonroyal great question :)! I checked with my Hermes SA and apparently the first gen of Kelly up till 90s-2000s is single ring design and doesn’t come with a strap. The original owner took the bag to the workshop and got the strap custom made. Rest assured it is a Hermes strap but strangely it doesn’t have any stamping. I got it from a French auction house a couple of years ago.

@liptonroyal The strap is a life saver because if I were to hold a handbag I’d choose my Birkins. I’m 5’4 and the bag is a great crossbody in winter jacket. I’m around 120 pounds for your reference.

@liptonroyal I also added a pic for you. The clasps have HS40 engravings and Hermes stamp. I have only seen these clasps on trim model. The strap was definitely purchased separately from the bag. Hope the info helps

@liptonroyal my suspicion is they extended from trim strap to customize it for the bag. No you are right the strap is three pieces of ostrich leather stuck together.

@liptonroyal official color is Cognac. You will find it common in vintage ostrich leather bags. Ostrich leather mostly comes in natural colors.
