Heavenly Helpings (Plastic Comb Hardcover)

The first Mass in Hillsboro was celebrated about 1840 in the large house which still stands at the corner of East Sewards and North Welch. Few Catholics were living in Hillsboro at that time and Mass was celebrated once a month by Father Gorman, who was residing in Litchfield. With an increasing number of catholics, the basement of the Unitarian church (where the present post office stands) was chosen as a temporary place of worship.
