Vintage handmade Raksha mask from Sri Lanka. Hand carved and painted wood. In Sri Lanka, Raksha masks are a traditional house warming gift and are usually placed facing the front door to scare away bad energies. They are a protection talisman. The ears detach and reattach with wood pegs that fit into the head. Three of the flame tips show signs of glue repair (see pics).
